Will I contiune to blog after this course is over

I really haven't decided if I am going to contiune blogging after this because it hasn't really been that benefical to me becasue nobody has commenting on anything and this has kind of been something that has been a requirement for us to do. May be some time in the near future if I want to blog about something I will get on here and blogg about it. Even though it was fun to create a blog and test the ropes and to see what this whole blogging things was about I dont think I will use this again unless I really have. It was fun while it lasted and hopefully someone else found this more interesting and would plan on using this after this class is over.

The last 6 weeks

The last six weeks have been great but rough for me. I started out great in this class but the last couple of weeks I've been going through some unexpected events that where stright out of left field. I can say that I am learning a lot about myself as a writer and I have found things in myself that I never knew I had in me. I hav learn so much about myself not only in this class but also because of the things going on outside of the class. I have learned that I am stronger then I come off to be sometimes and that I have a lot of drive in me. I am just happy that I am starting fresh in my life and I am going to finish out this course on a good note.

Prewriting Techniques

I enjoy two different prewriting, which are freewriting and the listing methods. I love to use these techniques becauseit allows my thought to flow and to write down any idea that come to my mind. When I use the freewriting technique I don't worry about grammar or punctuation I just let what ever comes to my head flow onto the paper. When using this method I come up with a lot of great ideas that I never knew I had in me. Prewriting gets the blood flowing in me and allows me to just go with the flow. Does anyone else use the same techniques or do is there another one that you use? fell free to express yourself!

Importance of Citing your Sources

Why is it so important to cite your sources? I believe that it is important to cite sources becasuse to me it like stealing ideas from someone and using it as your own without giving credit to the orginal source. I know that if I where the person who ideas where stole by someone who never used my name as the primary source I would be upset and maybe if take some sort of legal action. When using someone ideas or words it is a must citing or it is consider plagiarism. Plagiarism is taking very serously and can come with very serious consquences. I just believe that if you use another person ideas in lets say an essay the soure that you gather the imfortmation from should be listed on the essay reference page.

Being a College Student Online

I know when most people think of being a college student online, that they think that they will not recieve the same experience as being on campus. I love being an online student and I too had the same beliefs but after my first term at Kaplan University my entire prospective changed. Being a online students has given me flexablilty and the ablility to do my studies in my own time. Knowing that I am able to work when I can means that I can still work fulltime and still have a life outside of work and school make which makes life that much more manageable. Even though I have never attending nor stepped foot on campus I still feel as if I am just as important as any student that attends this university on campus.
